All breeds of dogs can suffer from Hip Displasia and there is a KC/BVA scheme available for this.
Visible symptoms may frequently not be seen in a small breed like the German Spitz so to date, only a very small handful have been hip scored in the UK as it is not considered a problem in the breed. However, scoring abroad has shown that scores range from excellent to severe so it may be worth breeders keeping this in mind and utilising the BVA scheme to establish how the breed scores here in the UK and progress accordingly.
